03Applications

Built around how the region builds.

Each building type in the Gulf brings its own heat load, schedule and constraint. These are the TCL systems we lead with.

  1. 01

    Hotels & Hospitality

Quiet guest rooms, keycard and BMS control, and lobbies where the ceiling is part of the design.

    Recommended systems

  2. 02

    Malls & Retail

High heat loads, long trading hours and rooftop plant that bakes in the sun all summer.

    Recommended systems

  3. 03

    Offices & Towers

Long vertical piping, zoned tenancy control and energy codes that reward every percentage point.

    Recommended systems

  4. 04

Concealed ducting, majlis comfort, clean façades and outdoor units that never give up in August.

    Recommended systems

  5. 05

    Halls & Warehouses

Large volumes, long air throws and plant that keeps running on generator power.

    Recommended systems

  6. 06

    Restaurants & F&B

Kitchens next to dining rooms, glass shopfronts and diners who notice every draught.

04Engineering for heat

What keeps a compressor running at 60 °C.

High ambient is not a rating on a label — it is a set of design decisions that run from the inverter board to the fan blade.

Heat dissipation on TCL VRF outdoor units

−20 °C

Lower inverter-module temperature on TMV7 Smart with 360° refrigerant cooling

  1. 01

    Refrigerant-cooled electronics

A wraparound refrigerant radiator pulls heat from the inverter module; on TMV7 Smart, testing showed module temperature 20 °C lower.

  2. 02

    Enhanced vapour injection

EVI compressors inject refrigerant mid-compression to hold capacity and lower discharge temperature at extreme ambient.

  3. 03

    Layered backup

Compressor, fan and outdoor-module backup keep a building cooled while a fault is serviced.

  4. 04

    Generator-aware control

Multi-step generator modes cap current draw so systems stay online on standby power.

  5. 05

    Dust & sand defence

Auto dust removal, reverse-fan cleaning, sealed control boxes and golden anti-corrosion fins.

  6. 06

    Offline AI efficiency

T-AI and on-board AI algorithms trim energy use by up to 20–38% depending on line — no internet required.

07FAQ

Questions we hear from the region.

Which TCL air conditioners are rated for 50 °C+ Middle East summers?

Several lines are rated well beyond 50 °C ambient. The TMV6+ ECOC cooling-only VRF operates from −15 °C to 60 °C; the Tropical High ESP Duct delivers stable cooling at 60 °C; Middle East versions of the side-discharge outdoor unit (24K and above) are rated to 60 °C; the 10 HP floor-standing unit and V7 floor-standing AC run at 60 °C; and FreshIN 3.0 operates stably at 66 °C. The TMV7 Smart and TMV6 platforms cool up to 56 °C.

What is the largest TCL VRF system available?

The TMV7 Smart combines outdoor modules of up to 26 HP into a single system of up to 104 HP, connecting as many as 80 indoor units. TMV6+ ECOC modules range from 8 to 36 HP with total piping of up to 1,100 m.

Can TCL systems run on generator power?

Yes. TMV7 Smart offers a 6-step generator mode from 40% to 100% capacity; TMV6+ ECOC offers six levels from 40% to 90% and returns to 100% automatically when grid power is restored. Light-commercial outdoor units and residential lines such as SaveIN AI also include generator (low-current) modes.

Do TCL systems integrate with building management systems?

Yes. TCL provides Modbus and BACnet BMS gateways, 7- and 10-inch central controllers and Wi-Fi modules. Light-commercial units support Wi-Fi, BMS and dry-contact control, and Modbus integration allows up to 255 units to connect to a third-party BMS.

How do TCL units cope with sand and dust?

Several lines include dedicated dust protection: automatic dust removal on the TMV6+ ECOC VRF, reverse-fan dust removal on light-commercial and residential outdoor units, a sealed control box on the 10 HP floor-standing unit, golden anti-corrosion fins on the air handler and self-cleaning evaporators across the range.

Does TCL offer ODM / OEM manufacturing?

Yes. TCL Air Conditioner operates 12 global manufacturing bases with more than 38 million units of annual capacity and over 1,000 R&D experts, and works with partners on platform customisation and regional certification. Share your target market, capacities and volumes through the inquiry form.

How do I become a TCL HVAC distributor in the Middle East?

Submit the partnership inquiry with your company profile, territory and current HVAC portfolio. The regional business team reviews each application and responds with portfolio, pricing structure and support details.
